Seborrheic dermatitis presents with dryness and scaling of the face and scalp appearing like dandruff in the affected areas, and it is very common. It may be present at any time of life and has constant recurrences. It is typically more annoying than symptomatic and can be treated with a range of topical creams, solutions, foams, and shampoos. Studies show that it is related to a fungal organism on the skin. We cannot cure the condition, but the treatment usually does a good job controlling it.
